Convert all your photos and images to the efficient WEBP format, using 95% lossy compression setting. This will significantly reduce file size while maintaining excellent visual quality.

In most cases, you won't notice any difference in image quality (unless zooming in a lot), and file sizes will be reduced by over 90%~.

For #linux users, using 'YOGA Image Optimizer' flatpak makes this process easy.

The AVIF format might be the future, however, it currently holds only 0.2% of the market share, and lacks compatibility with most image viewer software. I recommend WEBP instead.
