as i said before, i would make one time payments USING CREDIT CARD for particular features or design changes to be implemented.

no way i'm paying just to enjoy extra bugs of the next version.

we could have a system where i ( or anybody else ) proposes a feature, then the community votes on whether they want it or not, you name the price to implement it and we pledge certain amounts towards it like kickstarter or something.

think of it in terms of supporting cam whores. the basic show is free but personalized attention is paid. the idea of "tiers" makese no sense if the "tier" doesn't actually offer anything.

personalized attention ... no i don't want to see your nudes ... but i do have certain things that annoy me and i might pay to have them fixed.

of course that would mean everybody else will get MY vision of how the system should look / work but if they aren't OK with that they should themselves pay to have it changed to THEIR taste.

basically the product should reflect the wishes of paying customers, but instead of paying to use the product they should pay directly for these wishes.
