I believe this may be a perfect time for the acronym “IYKYK”.
#Nostr, allow me a few moments of your attention. I promise you’ll have your scrolling fingers back in less time than it takes to prepare tea.
A long time ago, before the internet, before cellular telephones, humans read things called “books” instead of looking at screens all day like drug fiends, chasing their next three-second high.
Books were an art unto themselves, since they were beautifully crafted and firmly held their audience’s attention for hours at a time.
There were thousands of these books, made available in repositories called “libraries”, not unlike GitHub, but full of these books, which could be borrowed for weeks at a time for free, or purchased outright at independently owned stores the world over.
Brilliant writers made their careers simply by writing beautiful, engaging tales of every conceivable genre and were lauded, not only in life, but for centuries after their passing.
Thank you for your kind attention.
Scott.
