they revoked alcohol prohibition because it made crime worse but somehow managed to make it "different" when it wasn't whisky but "dirty mexican rapist weed"

i think the first drug that was banned was actually heroin though, and it ballooned from there, and they kept calling all of them narcotic even though they are not (eg coke, amphetamines, weed, pcp, all not narcotic, in the sense of always causing sleep - hell even narcotic is the wrong word for heroin, it's an analgesic!)
