Very true, first one needs to build a privacy ecosystem starting from a router with openwrt, then a PC with coreboot/libreboot running a good distro like Debian or arch. As a phone a pixel with graphene or a Linux phone. An own server like youhonost hosting your own e-mail, xmpp chat, nextcloud, adguard home etc. Then one build a node preferable with raspibolt. This is how I see it, but still have a lot to learn.
