Thanks for the help. I’ve asked around elsewhere and the answer was to use an address down the list. That was from nostr:npub1tftc33ttam85wraffce62cgtvvjrmttquqlv6a0agtfm5nl4vues82xar5
Hoping to get an answer regarding Coldcard MK4 with Sparrow.
I DCA everyday with Swan and withdraw to my MK4 once the .05 threshold is reached. Have the xpub setup within Swan and has been working flawlessly moving down the list of addresses with each withdrawal.
I have some BTC on an old Ledger device and I want to send to my Coldcard. What is the best way to receive without reusing an address in the xpub list of addresses?
Is there a way to generate an address outside of the list that Swan will send to or do I just have to pick an address way down the list that I won’t ever get to with DCA’ing.
Hope that makes sense. Still learning. Thanks. nostr:npub1az9xj85cmxv8e9j9y80lvqp97crsqdu2fpu3srwthd99qfu9qsgstam8y8 nostr:npub1wu4aye7ll0lnrrg638e90sehzsgpzx5t39t3mwl05aa0d0ap08esdz3vw0 nostr:npub1nthvv0sglny3nzr89kemd8rz7rxa9jtcq6mcc78lk87c3vmcksxsvl24gw

Be careful. There is something called the gap limit. Wallets will scan addresses derived from an xpub to try and locate all funds but if they scan N addresses and all are empty the wallet will assume the rest of the addresses are also empty. In this case it can look like your funds are missing. In reality that particular wallet just doesn't look far enough ahead.
We're looking into this issue now and will get back to you.
Great question btw! Much respect for going the extra mile to ensure your privacy. 🤜 🤛
Gotcha. Make sense. If I’m only using the first 8 addresses, then use number 500, the wallet will stop looking that far down the list.
