Warning for #meshtastic users buying batteries: the connectors aren't standardized. The 5000mAh batteries I bought have a larger connector than will fit on the #Heltec #v3 or the #LilyGo #Tdeck. You have been warned.
If you're new and don't want to be like me, get a pre-made unit from someone who already learned this lesson (and either buys matching gear, or solders on the needed power connector for you).
I've had to solder smaller connectors on almost all the batteries I've bought. 🤣
Jonard ST-500 is the best wire stripper for those really tiny wires.
Those tiny connectors are JST and they are crimp connectors. Kits with lots of pins and bodies with a crimper to cover the most common variants are available under $50 on amazon.

You can solder them. Red is + black is - or ground. Pro tip: while striping them NEVER have them both both out of the connector or unsoldered. It may cause a short and you could ruil your battery
