We've encouraged them before, at the bottom of a wash where we couldn't see them until we were in it, and we'd been going pretty fast and having fun kinda flying through that wash previously. They did scatter, but husband also hit the breaks and one of our tires looked like a mop afterwards. You know one of those that kinda look like hair if flipped inside down 😅 but it did hold air still which was good.
I'm really glad God gave him a last second warning that time so he'd already started to slow down before we got there, cause it wa sa whole herd, and we'd probably lost more than just a windshield at that point if we'd hit them.
The bigger cows in this area seem a little more aware of cars than I've seen in other places, and these two calves did seem to kind of learn, and they did quickly move out of the way as he crept closer.
Not like the herd of reindeer I encountered in Sweden who looked back at me as I came up behind them, looking like they were wondering why I was trying to rush them when this was their road and they were there first 🤣
I like your idea of shooting them.. I know you said shooting them AWAY, but I think these might have been small enough to fit in our freezer 😇🤣🤣🤣
(though I wouldn't actually do that as I'm sure they belong to someone, and I have no clue how to properly take care of the meat) 😅🤣
