What if you were in a restaurant and your bill was sent to you on Nostr and you had to zap your payment. Is that a terrible idea?
Discussion
Some restaurants use the James app. You scan a QR code that's unique to your table, you place your ordering the app and pay right away. Then you wait for your food to arrive.
All this could be automated via LN URL qr codes that are unique per food item+ table 😂
And then you find out its a joke and you need to order with the waiter and also your money is gone 😢
Haha that’s kind of my point. I build these table ordering apps - primarily as a way to leverage bitcoin payments in to operators. I’m just kind of wondering if Nostr + bitcoin kind of solves the whole thing
Why would you need nostr?
I guess a restaurant would run BTCPayserver with LN and a QR CODE per mail/table combo is all the I formation you need to start preparing in the kitchen.
Or do you have a different flow in mind?
