Perhaps you misunderstood, you can't cure cancer. You can only prevent it. Cancer isn't a disease, it's the damage that's been done by, radiation, pollution, contamination, infections. You have to stop those causes of cancer, to stop cancer.

As I explained with the Cervical cancer example, cervical cancer can't be cured. If you have caught the virus, and the virus had damaged cells, those cells can never be cured. You can only prevent the virus from infecting the cells.

There will never be a magic tablet you can take that'll cure lung cancer so that you can smoke as many cigarettes as you want. If you don't want lung cancer, don't smoke and don't live within a hundred miles of a coal fired power generator, or near a major highway or train lines that still use diesel trains.
