They kind of lost their grip on shaping the mental scenery, and you can see their attempt to regain control. "Fake news", "misinformation", etc...

Will be interesting to see if the internet can remain/regain it's open and free environment to resist. Their toolkits are undoubtedly impressive for dealing with it.
