That's pretty much the flow I use. I'm not hosting my own private relay.

I haven't set up a lightning wallet yet because I don't have an extra $75 needed to buy the necessary 100,000 sats, but Mutiny Wallet looks like it plays well with Amber and Amethyst.

mutiny wallet is great. the cost to get started is a bit much though. it's not very new user friendly in that regard. it's more friendly for already established users. the price you pay for sovereignty.
