lighting capacity is governed by amount of btc locked in channels

number of nodes influences number of channels

but the keybis in how nodes are connected

a few well connected nodes outperforms a bunch of poorly connected ones.

basically well connected nodes improve the network's efficiency and liquidity making it easier to find paths for transactions without needing to open new channels thereby enhancing the network's capability to handle more transactions

i'm no expert i don't even run a node
