Midjourney is now paid only. So yea. Got the cheapest plan and paid for a year if I use it enough to run out of credit for a month I will upgrade.
I made these with Canva text to image with the prompt 'middle aged man making biochar surrounded by farmland/forest' not great but not terrible. I'd be interested in the prompt you used in midjourney and seeing what the same prompt would do in Canva.
