This is actually not a bad thing. We have been conditioned to expect the Infinity scroll from the legacy social media but that was by design.
I recently talked to my brother about this. He believes the cure for social media induced anxiety and mental health problems stem from having too many "friends" on social media that you have not worked to build a relationship with.
He might be onto something...
That's one thing, too much time in an un-nurtured space will do that. I keep following/followers small because I like to limit noise
