“Augmented reality” is a solution in search of a problem. It was a terrible idea with Google Glass, and it’ll be a terrible idea with whatever Apple releases. Outside of some industry specific use cases (manufacturing, etc), hard pass for me.

The main use I see for AR/VR is that I want a programming environment that is more physical than just sitting or standing at a desk

Isn’t your phone AR?

I am talking about the glasses thing.

My point is that the execution so far has been worse than my phone, but if it becomes better, I’ll love it. Who knows though if it’ll ever get there.
