you use goodreads? it’s a good way to get book recommendations for top books but also from friends. i know there is being built a nostr version of goodreads as well

I dont use it because I dislike the UI & a lot of other things. It never felt natural / most my book searchings come from university pressings etc. i like modern stuff a lot - non fiction, history etc. good reads seemed great for a lot of nonfiction types more so. Its a great tool just not for me.
Very understandable. Not for everyone. Hopefully, the nostr version will be something that we all can use and like
