Great speech. But Millay confuses the impact of capitalism on global GDP per capita with the industrial Revolution, which was the key to changing the world.

The first stock exchange was established in the early 17th century, and the two centuries of capitalism saw no change in GDP per capita, population growth, or life expectancy. The emergence of the Industrial Revolution, however, allowed the human population to quadruple in a century, the per capita GDP increased by eight times, and the life expectancy increased from less than 30 years old to more than 70 years old

Our generation is lucky that artificial intelligence is changing the world, and the productivity improvement brought by AI is another qualitative leap in the speed of world development. Science and technology are the primary productive forces.
