That's what you get for relying on a huge French company. They even take everything you paid for, no matter how much you paid, just because you did not log into the account for a while.
I personally have experienced such idiotic policies myself by having been a victim of them.
I've lost a couple of accounts due to such rules. One of them was a #diaspora* account, which really disappointed me, because I was there, to get to know an alternative just to realise my account has been purged when I didn't log in for a couple of months.
This also reminds me of how centralised #Mastodon is in a way.
Years back, I created an account on a server, that was brand new back then.
My account is still there, but I wasn't able to log in, because apparently they changed some login stuff, so my old login does not work.
Now, I would need to beg the server owners for their mercy, so my account gets loginable, once more.
This means, if the server owners wouldn't like me, they could simply refuse access.
Needless to say, I didn't beg, because the only time I'm involved in a begging situation is when someone's begging me.
Long live #Nostr.
