I do want to point out that this is a common misconception. Following good information security practices will prevent you from being hacked. Some times security is inconvenient, complicated, or expensive but it's never impossible.

Some times people willingly make trade-offs and accept the risk or manage it in other ways. That's fine. However, if you say "it's inevitable, so why try" well, then it is inevitable and you will get p0wn3d.
