Genuine Asylum seekers are currently being detained and held in jail until their asylum case has been ruled on by a judge. If they don’t want to stay in jail, they can “voluntarily” be deported by giving up their asylum case. That is happening right now for Asylum seekers who entered the country through border checkpoints.

On December 4th in Boston at a citizenship ceremony, several people from 19 countries who have been living in America for more than a decade, were in the process of swearing their allegiance to America. Individuals from the 19 countries were removed from the ceremony and told their citizenship swearing was effectively canceled. These a people who have already gone through ALL KINDS OF VETTING PROCESS.

Legal immigrants and American citizens have been snatched off the streets and detained until they can prove their status. Trump administration is currently violating the rights of people across the country.
