I’ve seen so many “B” images on nostr by now, that my eyes completely blacks it out. Sometimes too much is too much 🐶🐾🤣😭

Not a fault of the medium (the AI tool), just a lack of imagination of the creator.

This is the age old philosophical question regarding what art is and isn't.

I ignore most of it and tend to unfollow anyone who posts it. Its mind numbingly boring

the value of art hasn't gone down - the standards have gone up.

i watched a somewhat decent lesbian movie once

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8613070/

where the entire movie one lesbian is trying to paint the other so that the portrait can be used to sell her off as wife to a rich man from overseas who can't see her in person.

today she could just text him a selfie ...

so art is definitely changed forever by technology ...

and the value of "pretty image" is definitely zero now ...

but that doesn't make art boring. unless by "art" you mean pictures of "bitcoins" and nostriches.

then it is.

I like it. Sure, why not, it was your intent, your prompts, and your selection out of the numerous other images that didn't meet your creative vision. Just as you used generative AI tools today, before you used graphic design tools and a computer yesterday, and others the paint brushes and acrylic made not by the artist.

For me, the medium of art is just one aspect. The concepts and vision for the work make up the majority of its beauty. AI tools are just your brushes and paint; the medium.

Btw, art shared online was always worth nothing, don't let the NFT grifters convince you otherwise :). The value in art is the artists time. Their time is valued based on the subjective opinion of the artist and their patron.

Ah crap. I didn't realize people were tired of it already. I'm loving it.
