“Work for people who won’t fire you for dissent.” …that’s the problem of your position

The highest salaries are offered by the companies who *do* fire you for dissent. We’re currently in an economy with outrageous equity multiples … almost all of the small operations where one could “be themselves” have less security (salary) and are almost undoubtedly going to be less valuable (equity) in real terms going forward.
