Speech has been unstoppable on the internet for quite some time. Examples: Alex Jones, Julian Assange, Pirate Bay, Tor onion services. Nostr is nowhere near the best tool for unstoppable speech. Nostr isn't even a very good tool for this, because relay owners can ban you, shadowban you, or censor posts without it being obvious.
And I did not say the freedom was not refreshing.
you make a horrible argument with not a shread of truth to it, julian assange has been imprisoned and tortured, wikileaks reduced to nothing, thepirate bay has been shut down in so many ways, tor onion services get taken down often, alex jones life has been destroyed and he is deplatformed from everywhere even elons new 'freespeech' twitter
nostr is the perfect tool for unstoppable speech because you own your content and id, and you can spread any content via any method
Alex Jones is still making videos and money. The Pirate Bay is still up, and everything Julian Assange leaked is still freely available. Speech will always have consequences. If by “unstoppable speech” you mean “speech with no consequences” then Nostr is not what you need. If Alex or Julian were on Nostr they wouldn’t have fared any better.
I still get a 504 Gateway Time-Out every time I visit wikileaks.org, plus the Podesta Emails have been wiped from the website last time the site was up. So something nefarious is going on.
