There’s a leadership race right now. They will choose a new leader of his party. The new leader could be sworn in as prime minister if they secure the confidence of the house (a confidence vote needs to happen). If they don’t get the confidence, an election would be triggered. If the new leader secures the confidence they could also trigger an election, but they wouldn’t have to immediately.

Anyways, I doubt they’ll win the confidence vote.

We could be seeing an election as early as 2 weeks out. Depends on if Carney sacks up and dissolves parliament as soon as hes leader.

My guess is that the CPC and NDP won't let that happen.

Confidence vote would likely be the first order of business.

I don't see a Carney victory either.

The liberals have exhausted their political good will.

Hopefully Pierre doesnt fuck it up. It his election to lose.
