Can someone explain why trash cans are so expensive? Adult things no one warns you about

Because they don’t allow just anyone to make and sell them.

Pay the mafia to make money on their turf.

Not sure if those exist but I bet they do in many of the western countries.

However in this case I was referring to Business formation regulations.

In many municipalities, yes.

It must be a certain size, of a certain color, etc.

You can usually get them at the dollar store pretty cheap.
