I hope so. The little sods had set up in the hole left from a partially rotted joist.

I couldn't get round it, in it or through it. Time will tell, smoked the hell out of the area and then went down and blocked the entrance up.

If your talking about the brood box, it's an age thing 🤣🤣 it's had so many coats of linseed oil it's took on that colour.

But if your interested here's a pic of one of my marked queen's from a swarm earlier this year. She's funny because she likes to play dead during an inspection 🤣🤷‍♂️

Back in the victorian era we imported a lot of Italian queen's which are lighter in colour than our native British bee. So we get a wide variation in coloration.

And temperament 🤣🤣
