Thoughts on using list events for contacts vs a local db? I think a local db would be better for that unless the lists were encrypted with a password and not your private key. I am going to store key pairs in these lists.

Store in local DB.

Support export/import of lists with sync.

Yes encryption makes sense for this as the data stored is personal relationships, even if its about others.

Worth considering implicit lists by tagging association as well like NIP81 to allow individual item management.
