I'm no lawyer, but I would think in the United States that would violate the First Amendment, freedom of speech, and code is speech (though that hasn't always stopped them before).

That is the problem with positive, man-made law; it seeks to encompass everything into its purview. It truly knows no limits. It is ultimately totalitarian.
the real problem is that most people can't recognise this type of psychopathy and just submit themselves
