Very cool. New device? I hadnโ€™t heard of it.

ROI? ๐Ÿ˜›

Depends if it ever hits a block. The chances are super slim, but still there. I just really like the idea in theory and seeing it work is actually mind blowing. It's neat to demo to others but also use as a free power source for ESP32 dev work.

Just kidding. I made one too ;)

How many M/h or G/h is it?

Would you mind explaining What is this? And what does it do? I enjoy these nerdy type of things. ๐Ÿคฃ

This is two 6 watt solar panels daisy chained to 12 watts total. It converts down to a little over 5 volts for USB. This powers an ESP32 microcontroller (LilyGo T-Display-S3) which is running a very light bitcoin mining client. The client is not powerful enough to participate in standard pooled mining, but does have an extremely small chance of mining a solo bitcoin block (it has happened a few times prior off lower hash rate devices). All of this here is happening for free with the power of the sun. My next iteration is to add battery charging for overnight mining.

Sweet! And thanks for the very clear explanation! Looks like a fun hobby.

And hey! Wishing you luck you actually strike digital gold!

Thanks for the tip, I'll try! ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ’ช
