Interesting that Android would be immune but not Linux. The only detail provided there is that Linux is still vulnerable to a side channel attack.
That was a bit of surprise as well. Wonder if it was intentional or if Android got lucky by making a protocol decision with unintended positive security consequences.
The attack can most effectively be carried out by a person who has administrative control over the network the target is connecting to.
