It means that the post itself has a proof of work. Before sending, the user spent some amount of energy to get that label.
Hashcash effectively? Does #Amethyst support this yet? Or does it only display it?

Only display. Supporting it means spending some battery on every post. Not that exciting for folks :)
I agree 😁 But maybe it would be interesting if it was optional for individual posts.
