Big NAS believer here.

I use unraid for my media server and synology for most backups: Dropbox, phone photos, etc.

There are plenty of trade-offs with these, and I’d love to have an “all-in” solution, but it just doesn’t exist yet.

Maybe Start9, but still some work to do to host third-party docker apps and expand the community stores
