Qubes vs Tails
Both great and pretty easy to use. If you’re ok on Ubuntu you’ll have no issue getting going with these.
Tails - pros
1. Feel like a spy running OS off a memory stick.
2. Can carry a full node and wallet anywhere without carrying a computer.
3. Bitcoin QT is easier to get running than just a regular no GUI bitcoind. So forced to learn how QT works operationally. Ephemeral storage can be a pain.
4. Tor only and easiest Tor setup I’ve experienced.
Cons:
1. Memory stick storage space limited (1TB is easy to find though)
2. Harder to setup basic bitcoind.
Qubes- pros:
1: isolated usb is a super power, not allowing usb or laptop mic and camera to access your vms feels like you’re fully in control.
2. Isolated vms for node/electrum server/wallet make you feel safe.
Cons:
1. Not many - apart from not being able to run off a usb stick like tails.
