If your goal is growth and making things easier for the “normies” I start to wonder if you’re really against X, Facebook, or Spotify, or are you just jealous you’re not as big as them? Once you have your growth and mass of normies using your app, how would you wield your power? When it starts to make sense to compromise your values because you might lose market share, what will you do? Do you really think with all your striving for growth and mass adoption that you’re any different than Zuck or Musk?

Anything that has more than 4 people, is corruptible or corrupted.

Things become cult-like because humans are human.

JMO.

I know my own soul (sort of) and anything that has 1 or more people is corruptible or corrupted. It’s why I try to build hedges, to protect myself from myself. I know the temptations I face, and ask myself, given their power, would I act differently. I’d like to say no, but I don’t know, and I’d rather not find out how truly corruptible I am.

Agree.
