in a free society people would get to be able to hire representation to argue their own guilt not just innocence

as it now stands you can only either be innocent actually or a liar

why cant you be such an honest villain you bring a case against yourself so a jury of your peers can be like: yea fuck that or nah you are fine
it is a terrible predicament
the binary of either innocent or a liar
no other option
that isnt rational jurisprudence
