I uninstal the Google version I got via Aurora Store but I can't install fdroid version as it says there is a conflict .. GrapheneOS Pixel 6a

Did you try the universal APK? It should work on GrapheneOS.

Yes Fdroid universal APK now installed, I had a copy of Amethyst in a profile I had forgotton about, everything works now thanks!

This would generally only be the case where both versions share the same package name and you have Amethyst installed in more than one user.
