Replying to Avatar Fartface2000

Building a new home, making it smart, plan on using Home Assistant as my Dashboard for all my smart devices. Was also thinking of getting a Synology NAS to consolidate all my files from various computers and also use it to run Home assistant. Anyone have experience? Could offer a tip or some advice?

have you considered using umbrel or something similar on some serious kit as your sovereign server making it accessible from anywhere

then I would say have a look at https://unraid.net/ used it for years
