Current situation: trying to get pnpm WORKSPACES to run with something called "turbo" that changes its own config fields on every release. Seems to be stalled. 
Turns out if you exit that screen you see that there is actually a huge error behind it and that's why it was frozen. Amazing job, JavaScript lovers:
