the main issue looks to be spam
and since there was no good decentralized reputation filtering system, that created centralizing layers
to get ahead of that reputational systems that are based on a web of trust should be implemented very soon in nostr!
I proposed at least one web of trust thing over there at the nips
definitely needs more eyeballs on it and more suggestions
