For any small town across the planet with no internet access it seems a cool and awesome solution, not a novelty though...

But... for any person living in an area with normal internet access it is not an interesting nor a safe option, Bluetooth is well known for being vulnerable and therefore having your Bluetooth open 24/7 to be part of that mesh network opens your device to an unnecessary vector of attack...

For those who need it, awesome, for most with internet access, IMO, not ideal, the price / reward radio doesn't add up.

given that only about 30% of people in africa and asia (excluding high-income countries) have access to reliable, affordable wifi/data this seems like it could be a great tool.
