The Nostr protocol is very much a first-past-the-post system, and there's no likely way to correct early design errors with NIP PRs, so you just have to do your own thing, document your reasoning, and try to stay calm.

And, sadly, they never look at anything already existing on the Internet. Some of the world's most brilliant scientists and engineers spend decades working it out and now we get coked up and hack something out and ta-da!
fortunately you have the edge that we now have a more sane HTTP API to work with :) also, at least the primary data type is simple and reasonable
gonna need to find someone else to deploy realy infra tho... i could do it :) chip just wanted to find any excuse to not get it done
