A metal seed plate is most important. an SD card. the cord is magnetic and doesnt transfer data, but if you are using the cold card in airgapped mode this is less important. also the magnetic connection is cool, but it can lose connection if moved the right way, and that can be annoying.
You can connect to a computer with a cord (mk4 uses usb-c).
You can also go fully airgapped and use a micro-sd card.
