Looks like nip-42 solves the auth issue. Main point is to make whitelisted versus not whitelisted users appear indistinguishable from each other by looking at their relay list.

How long will it take for them to realize their misinformation is going unnoticed? Since the general theory is not to create signal but instead noise, it could take a very long time to before they realize we left the bots behind.
