I always ask the question ' what is the smallest amount of people that can constitute a cult?'.
Some people say three,
others say two,
many more say a larger number than that.
Nobody says one.
It reveals something about the idea of a cult.
I feel like a cult needs to have follower(s)

Are cult members prisoners would you say?
Without followers they’re loan wolves.
Followers follow until they can’t be led any further, so I wouldn’t say they’re prisoners but I’m sure leaving a cult is harder than entering.
