And some posts/content don’t warrant an interaction at all. I scroll by over half the stuff in my feed and focus on what truly seems interesting, beginning with my notifications. Attention is a scarce resource because time is limited. Give attention to things that deserve attention, and if they truly deserve your attention then they certainly deserve more than a pointless tap on a heart button.

I was addicted to likes when I joined nostr, both giving and receiving them. That’s how other social media has trained us. I intentionally stopped using it, initially for 30 days, and I couldn’t believe how hard it was to stop, and I noticed how I began interacting with people and content differently.
I was literally about to hit like, and then caught myself. It's like an addiction to a quick high. 🤔
It does happen 🙃🤙

The question is, what point does it serve? 🤔
It it the “point” at the end of a convo? 😅
It never hurt anyone to experiment. I’ll try being more thoughtful about my interactions , try to figure out if likes have any role to play, or if it’s better to simply write a reply or zap.
