Have an interesting anecdote on this.
Had a ton of shit GPs in my 20s and 30s. Most of them were younger (I'd say mid 40s or younger) and always pushing various pills or what have you. Eventually got linked up with a fossil of a doc (like in his 70s and graduated in the late 40s IIRC) but looked like he was the same age as those others.
Anywho, we'd chat during my visits and he was the first guy to ever push keto on me based on his college textbooks, which he still kept in his office. He mentioned most of the dietary stuff that used to be taught in them was ripped out. After getting going on keto and researching, I read about how a lot of supporting German dietary research was destroyed post war.
Not too long after that, you had the best ROI in investing history done when the Sugar lobby bought Harvard research and started America on the path to where it is today.
When I moved to Vegas, I wish I could have packed him up and taken him with me.
