Noob here.. what's so unique about 425?
The amount. Or maybe it is normal to follow that much people? I genuiely have no idea.
I see people following thousands quite often.
I'm also experimenting with following a lot of people right now, just to see what's out there.
Thousand?? Wow I already have difficulties with giltering out the posts from damus or jack or the ones I like. I really need an option to divide feeds into custonized groups.
That's what I'm trying to nudge the nostr client devs to work on asap. But it has been like shouting into the void, because they have other things to work on (understandably so).
That said, the 500+ follow feed is too busy and "fast" only on certain hours.
Yeah for me it is already too fast, if I want to not miss out on anything (bad wifi)
That's life. You miss things by not following everyone too 🫠
I'm pretty sure I will unfollow many at some point (even with multiple feeds) to keep my curated experience clean(ish) from noise. But at that point it would be nice to have the ability to filter the global feed easily to search for topics/keywords that are happening right now, or year ago... or what "this set of npubs were posting between (date1) and (date2)...

I hit follow all on a few accounts and now have over 2000 follows. That was before you could follow hashtags. I miss stuff but it's not too bad, just need to not follow low value high frequency accounts. I haven't had to do too much weeding. Nostr is pretty dead in daytime Australia when the US is asleep. I needed the numbers to keep the feed flowing. It would be good to have a priority list that you can see when you don't have time to scroll.
