The word doctor means Teacher. As such it is a title any true student of Life and Nature would offer to a higher power and humbly aspire to serve daily, without ever claiming authority. Because the title is at its essence an emptiness, a living process in real time that teaches the doctor and patient alike. Biodynamic Osteopathy taught me this.
The therapeutic process is collaborative. Like Nature and Life, it is a dynamic relationship on all levels of existence. Lest this invokes too much subjectivity, the allegiance in all firm communication and hard lines are according to Nature's laws rather than according to any individual's authority.
"I am simply trying to teach you what you are; to get you to realize your right to health, and when you see the cures wrought here, after all other means have failed, you can but know that the foundation of my work is laid on Nature’s rock."
- Andrew Taylor Still, Autobiography
"God is the Father of Osteopathy, and I am not ashamed to be a child of His mind." –A.T. Still MD, DO, Autobiography
"An osteopath is taught that Nature is to be trusted to the end." – A.T. Still MD, DO, Autobiography
I am eternally grateful to Tom Brown Jr of Tracker School, James Jealous D.O. of Biodynamic Osteopathy, Choa Kok Sui of Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga for their dedication to teaching and to passing on the lineages they serve.
