Trump and El Salvador's Bukele are negotiating an asylum agreement that would let the U.S. deport migrants, including Venezuelan gang members, to El Salvador.

The partnership follows Trump's alliance with Argentina's Milei, building a network of conservative Latin American leaders.

Bukele, popular for his tough-on-crime policies, spoke with Trump Thursday about "cracking down on transnational gangs."

With Rubio heading to El Salvador next month, the "Safe Third Country" deal could mark another major shift in Western Hemisphere immigration policy.
